Ekstre Records is back with a big bang baby! We are proud to present Stoik's extraordinary debut album Senescence. This trailblazing spiritual gangster of bass music offers up an innovative LP that combines a psychedelic electronic fusion of glitch, tribal, chill trap, purple dub, downtempo and world beats. Senescence relates to the biological process of aging and represents the accumulation of growth for this artist's creative process as his production developed over time. Stoik's music works well in numerous environments such as night clubs, lounges, yoga classes and especially outdoor festivals. His sound is destined to be heard on massive sound systems around the world. Please have a listen to Ekstre Records' 12th major release and experience a style of music that is in a world of it's own.
Stoik's album debuted last week at #32 on Beatport's TOP 100 Dance Releases. Over the weekend it broke into the TOP 20 and landed at #11 as of Monday, March 5th, 2018. This is a major accomplishment for Stoik and our highest charted release since the label's birth over four years ago. The LP is also holding it down at #50 on Beatport's TOP 100 Electronica/ Downtempo chart after debuting at #84. That is very exciting news for us. Another highlight from today was the world premiere of the Solidarity video that features track 9 from Stoik's album in collaboration with my digital art. This 30 second video short is an animated loop that I designed by editing original photographs into numerous psychedelic patterns and then playing the visuals in sequence with the track.
